A Higher Dietary Inflammatory Index Score is Associated with a Higher Risk of Incidence and Mortality of Cancer: A Comprehensive Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Creating more space for proinflammatory foods in our menu may up our risk of acquiring and dying from cancer.

This meta-analysis provided evidence of a strong association between the ingestion of proinflammatory foods and high tendency of developing and dying from cancer. This research work covered data from 38 studies involving thousands of men and women. 

Researchers noticed that the probability of suffering and dying from cancer moved in the upward direction with increase in the frequency of consumption of proinflammatory foods. This study revealed that promoting the intake of proinflammatory foods may heighten cancer incidence and mortality rates globally.
