Association between composite dietary antioxidant index and epilepsy in American population: a cross-sectional study from NHANES
Favoring the consumption of foods packed with antioxidants may be beneficial for the prevention of epilepsy.
This study validated the ingestion of antioxidants from food sources and its relationship with the development of epilepsy. The study population consisted of more than 20,000 men and women.
Researchers observed that preference for antioxidant-rich foods slashed the risk of epilepsy in men and women. The results of this study showed that adequate intake of foods high in antioxidants may help to keep epilepsy at bay.
