Association Between Physical Activity and Risk of Disabling Dementia in Japan
Maintaining a physically active lifestyle may save an individual from having dementia.
This study validated the relationship between physical activity and decreased risk of dementia. More than 40,000 Japanese men and women enrolled for this study and regularly filled questionnaires requesting for information related to their lifestyle and health.
Researchers noted that physically active individuals had low probability of suffering from dementia. Data from this study showed that adopting a physically active lifestyle may help halt the onset of dementia.
