Association between dietary inflammatory index and self-reported female infertility from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2013-2020
A woman's love for pro-inflammatory foods may put her at risk of suffering from infertility.
This study evaluated the hypothesis linking frequent ingestion of pro-inflammatory foods with the occurrence of infertility in women. Researchers tracked the eating habits and incidence of infertility among 2,066 women aged 20-45 years.
Researchers detected an unfavorable relationship between heightened consumption of pro-inflammatory foods and rising rates of infertility in the study population. Based on the data from this study, it can safely be concluded that high compliance with a pro-inflammatory diet may promote the development of infertility in women.
