Dietary Intake of Polyphenols and All-Cause Mortality: A Systematic Review with Meta-Analysis

Increased ingestion of polyphenol-rich foods may help lower mortality risk in men and women.

This meta-analysis examined the connection between dietary intake of polyphenols and mortality risk. Researchers took a detailed look at the findings of 7 studies involving over 170,000 men and women.

Researchers noticed that death rates decreased by 7% among participants with high dietary exposure to polyphenols. The results of this study indicate that embracing a diet rich in polyphenol-containing foods may extend the lifespan of men and women.
