Dietary inflammatory index and pancreatic cancer risk: a systematic review and dose-response meta-analysis

Increase in the frequency of consumption of proinflammatory foods may pave way for the development of pancreatic cancer in men and women.

This meta-analysis explored the correlation between the inflammatory potential of a diet and the likelihood of developing pancreatic cancer. Researchers examined data and evidence extracted from a pool of 6 studies.

Researchers noted that pancreatic cancer was diagnosed frequently among consumers of proinflammatory diets. This study pointed out that consistent ingestion of diets rich in foods with high inflammatory scores may make an individual vulnerable to pancreatic cancer.
