Association between soy products and prostate cancer: A systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies

Generous intake of non-fermented soy foods may help halt the development and spread of prostate cancer in men.

This meta-analysis reviewed the findings of 22 studies that examined the relationship between soy food consumption and a man's odds of having prostate cancer. More than 1.4 million men were involved in this study. 

Researchers found a significant decrease in prostate cancer risk among devout consumers of non-fermented soy foods. This study pointed out that diets high in non-fermented soy foods may be beneficial for the prevention of prostate cancer in men.
