A healthy dietary pattern reduces lung cancer risk: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Consistent consumption of healthy foods is associated with decreased risk of lung cancer.

This study evaluated the role diets play in lung carcinogenesis. Researchers analyzed nutritional and clinical data extracted from 8 observational studies. They found out that subjects who strictly followed a healthy dietary pattern exhibited lower lung cancer risk than those who regularly consumed non-healthy foods. The findings of this meta-analysis support the hypothesis that regular intake of healthy foods may play a vital role in the prevention of lung cancer.
