Edible mushrooms: role in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases

Indulgence in mushrooms may help slash an individual's risk of developing cardiovascular disease.

This study looked at the role of high dietary ingestion of mushrooms in the prevention of cardiovascular disease. Researchers examined data and evidence obtained from eligible studies. 

Analysis of data showed that the probability of having cardiovascular disease was low among individuals on high mushroom diet. This study demonstrated that adequate intake of mushrooms may help thwart the development of cardiovascular disease.
