Effects of Anthocyanins on Cognition and Vascular Function: A Systematic Review

Regular intake of foods rich in anthocyanins, such as fruits and vegetables, may be beneficial for cognitive and cardiovascular health.

This meta-analysis synthesized evidence from previously published studies that focused on the impact of dietary ingestion of anthocyanins on cognitive performance and vascular function. Data from 20 studies were reviewed in this meta-analysis.

Data analysis revealed that consistent consumption of anthocyanins from fruits and vegetables was associated with improved cognitive and vascular function. This meta-analysis further affirms the positive impact of high anthocyanin diets on cognitive and cardiovascular health.
