A comprehensive analysis of fruit, vegetable, and legume consumption and the risk of hypertension: results from the KoGES_CAVAS cohort

Optimal intake of fruits, legumes, and vegetables may help halt the development of hypertension in men and women.

​This study threw more light on the role fruits, legumes, and vegetables play in the prevention of hypertension. Researchers surveyed the diet and health of 10,325 Korean men and women over a 5-year period. During the course of the study, a total of 2,159 participants were diagnosed with hypertension. 

Researchers noticed that the chances of suffering from hypertension diminished with elevated intake of fruits, legumes, and vegetables. This study underscored the importance of integrating fruits, legumes, and vegetables into our diets as a viable preventive measure against hypertension.
