Exploring flavonoid intake and all-cause mortality in diverse health conditions: Insights from NHANES 2007-2010 and 2017-2018

Adopting a high flavonoid diet may help slash mortality risk from different chronic diseases significantly.

​This study clarified the relationship between high dietary ingestion of flavonoid-rich foods and the risk of dying prematurely from chronic diseases. Researchers reviewed the nutrition and number of deaths recorded in a study group comprising of tens of thousands of men and women. 

Researchers identified a trend towards reduction in the risk of mortality from chronic diseases among avid consumers of flavonoid-containing foods. This study highlighted that promoting the consumption of foods loaded with flavonoids may result in a decrease in the burden of mortality from chronic diseases globally.
