A cross-sectional study on the relationship between dietary fiber and endometriosis risk based on NHANES 1999-2006

Opting for a high-fiber diet may improve a woman's odds of preventing endometriosis.

​This study looked at the relationship between frequent consumption of fiber-rich foods and a woman's likelihood of developing endometriosis. Researchers compared the dietary habits of 241 women suffering from endometriosis and 2599 females without the disease. 

Researchers discovered that women on high fiber diet had low risk of developing endometriosis. This study concluded that regular intake of fiber-containing foods may help protect women against endometriosis.
