This study investigated the correlation between frequent ingestion of fruits and vegetables and the occurrence of cognitive disorders among older adults. Data from 16 previously published studies were analyzed for this study.
Researchers observed that fruit and vegetable consumers tend to enjoy a significant reduction in cognitive disorder risk. The results of this study show that higher intake of fruits and vegetables may help protect elderly men and women from cognitive disorders.
