This study looked at the correlation between indulgence in high fiber foods and a man's probability of acquiring prostate cancer. Researchers examined the health data and dietary habits of more than 50,000 US men.
Researchers observed that a downward trend in the rate of prostate cancer diagnoses among men with increase in the level of consumption of foods high in fiber, especially insoluble fiber. This study pointed out that larger intake of fiber-containing foods may have a role in decreasing the risk of prostate cancer in men.
