This study examined the influence of consuming diets high in fruits and vegetables on the incidence of endometrial cancer among women in china. Researchers charted frequency of fruit and vegetable consumption against endometrial cancer diagnosis in a study group comprising of 1,678 women residing in Shanghai, China.
The team of investigators noticed that endometrial cancer was less likely to occur among habitual consumers of legumes, allium, and dark green/yellow vegetables. "These results suggest that high consumption of certain vegetables may reduce the risk of endometrial cancer," the study concluded.
