This study compared the incidence of esophageal cancer between consumers and non-consumers of alcoholic beverages. Researchers performed a meticulous meta-analysis on data and evidence compiled from 758,203 studies conducted mainly in Africa.
Researchers noted that esophageal cancer occurred at a high rate among participants who enjoying taking alcohol on a regular basis. This study documented that fondness for alcoholic beverages may favor the development of esophageal cancer.
