Association between dietary inflammatory index and fecal incontinence in American adults: a cross-sectional study from NHANES 2005-2010

Fans of pro-inflammatory foods are highly prone to suffering from fecal incontinence.

​This study looked at the consumption of pro-inflammatory foods in relation to the subsequent development of fecal incontinence. Researchers tracked the diets and incidence of fecal incontinence among 11,747 men and women.

Researchers discovered that high consumers of pro-inflammatory foods faced increased risk of suffering from fecal incontinence. This study established that avid intake for pro-inflammatory foods may lead to the development of fecal incontinence in men and women.
