While I am not of the Jewish religion, nor am I a Jew, I do appreciate their beliefs.  As a Christian however, I do celebrate passover and believe we are suppose to from Scriptures.  But thats another thread and another site.  I realize we are months away but this is a topic that has been weighing on my mind as of late.

The main focus is Christ is the passover Lamb.. and to not partake of the lamb during services would go against my beliefs.

I am wondering if there is anyone here who is a practicing Jew or celebrates this holiday and if they partake in the Lamb or what they do.

Thank you,

Lori

This is such an interesting question. I guess each individual has to determine their own boundaries and what is most important to them. I believe you will find that there is a lot of information on the web about doing a vegan seder service. I have participated in vegan seder and we just swap out items to other symbols.

Here are some pages you might find interesting:

How to Hold a Vegan Passover Seder:

Vegan Passover Seder Recipes and Menus:

There are many more. The two above just happen to be the first two that showed up when I did the following Google search: https://www.google.com/search?q=vegan+seder

I believe you can have a meaningful passover seder and still hold true to vegan values. At least it has always been possible for me. I grew up with our family celebrating in the traditional way with little understanding of the service.

I hope this helps.
